in practice ProjectWEB functions in such a way that the parties of a co-operation have at their disposal an area on the Rambøll Internet-server, where the parties file both project documents and other information of common interest. All parties have access to the server and hence the documents via a PC with Internet connections. Hence users have access to the documents not only from their work place but also from their home computer, and in fact from any PC with internet connection anywhere in the world. ProjectWEB ensures that all project documents are filed correctly on the server and that no one inadvertently can change other persons' project documents. ProjectWEB provides free access to all the parties of a project to see and download the latest updated version of documents from the other parties. Through access control it is furthermore possible to differentiate the various users' access to see and correct documents. Persons used to work on a PC can quickly learn to use ProjectWEB. The user interface is as simple as the folder tree in Windows Explorer.
